Kresna’s Gorge is situated in South Western Bulgaria. It is named after the town of Kresna. Struma river, which flows through the gorge, has created magnificent views and separates Pirin and Malashevska mountains.
Kresna’s Gorge is only 30 km away from my home town Sandanski. However, I just now found time to take few photos of this spectacular place.
During Spring and Summer many go there canoeing. Struma rive provides excellent opportunity for people who enjoy the extreme sport.
Huge catfish live in Struma River. Some of them reaching more than two meters long.
Summer time the gorge and the river are even more wonderful. Has anyone been there? What do you think about Kresna’s Gorge and the pictures?
